District Election Officer Conducts Surprise Inspection of Voter List Revision Work in Lucknow North and Cantonment

Lucknow— To ensure the effective, transparent, and time-bound execution of the Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls, District Magistrate and District Election Officer Vishakh G. conducted surprise inspections across multiple locations under Assembly constituencies 172—Lucknow North and 175—Lucknow Cantonment on Saturday. The inspection focused on reviewing the progress of collection and digital feeding of voter information forms.

During his visit, the District Election Officer inspected booths 310 to 318 at Maharshi Vidya Mandir, located on the IIM Road, followed by booths 306 to 309 at MD Convent College in Faizullaganj Gauribheet. He examined on-ground progress related to electoral roll updation and provided necessary instructions to the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) present.

He then visited booths 246 to 250 and 244, 245 at Upper Primary School and Primary School, Chhawani, Madiyaon, where he reviewed the status of collection and feeding of voter verification forms. Officials briefed him that voters are actively submitting their duly filled forms, and the process of receiving them back at the BLO level is currently underway.

As part of his inspection in Lucknow Cantonment (175), the District Election Officer also visited booths at Harish Chandra Inter College in Sadar Bazaar and Chutki Bhandar Girls Inter College in Udaiganj. He directed the officials to ensure accuracy and timely completion of all election-related tasks.

Appealing to the public, the District Election Officer urged all voters to fill and submit their voter information forms to their respective BLOs at the earliest. He emphasized that special camps will be held across all polling booths in the district tomorrow, December 7, 2025 (Sunday). Voters who have not yet submitted their forms have been requested not to wait until the last date, but to visit their booth during the special camp and hand over their completed forms to enable timely digitisation.

The administration reiterated that the revision exercise is critical for ensuring accurate electoral rolls ahead of upcoming elections and called for citizens’ active cooperation.
